She’s methodical in her inspections, poking through corners and even peeking into the toy bin to hand-pick anything that piques her curiosity—Sumo doesn’t leave toy selection to chance. This golden tabby has a naturally calm presence and a deep, contented purr that shows up anytime she feels cared for. She enjoys stretching out next to her people, whether that’s on the couch or nestled at the edge of the bed. Recently, she’s warmed up to laps and will hop up for affection when the moment feels right—but a dangling shoelace or laser dot will send her zipping into action, reminding you she’s still got a playful streak. When it’s time to wind down, Sumo has a bedtime ritual: she’ll circle and reposition herself repeatedly until everything feels just so, and only then will she flop down for the night. She’s partial to brushing sessions, and her soft orange coat really shines with some extra care. Sumo lives with her sister Boba; the two are a bonded pair, mirroring each other’s moods and sharing toys without fuss. Sumo even grooms Boba, pinning her down for as long as it takes to get her looking right—it’s affectionate and endearing.
