Claudia is a regal little roommate trapped in a cat’s body. She’s sweet, social, intelligent, slightly opinionated, and carries herself with the calm confidence of someone who absolutely believes she pays the bills around here. She’s not a lap cat. Claudia finds the whole concept a bit undignified. Why sit on you when she can elegantly supervise you from nearby? Whether you’re cooking in the kitchen, watching TV, or just walking to another room, Claudia will follow along and settle herself close enough to keep tabs on your activities. She’s the perfect “presence” cat: always nearby, always involved, always ready to help. Claudia loves people and greets guests like a seasoned hostess, making rounds at a dinner party. New smells? New people? Potential snacks? She’s there. (Especially if human food is involved. Claudia would like you to know that whatever you’re eating probably belongs to her, but we disagree.) Most of the time she’s laid back and wonderfully calm, lounging majestically on the couch, a chair, the bed, or anywhere she can comfortably monitor her kingdom. Every so often, though, she remembers she’s technically still young and gets hit with a burst of playful energy before quickly returning to her preferred role as Elegant Observer of Household Affairs. She’s also delightfully vocal. Sometimes Claudia has important announcements to make. Sometimes she’s bored. Sometimes she simply feels the house has become too quiet and requires commentary. Whatever the reason, she’s happy to share her thoughts. When you come home, expect a proper greeting committee: Claudia waiting at the door, rubbing against furniture, asking for pets, and reminding you that she has, in fact, suffered greatly during your absence. Claudia and Christina are a bonded mother-daughter pair and will only be adopted together. While their personalities are very different — Claudia, calm and composed, Christina, playful and full of energy — they balance each other perfectly and are clearly happiest side by side. If you’re looking for the perfect combination of loyal companion, daily entertainment, and the occasional unsolicited kitchen acrobatics performance, these two are more than ready for the job.
