Ashton is a big-hearted, oversized lap dog with those famous, expressive ears that never stop moving. He's a sweet, loyal companion who lives for human attention and, despite his sturdy size, wants nothing more than to squeeze onto his favorite person's lap. Those alert ears, always at attention, reveal just how much he loves to listen and connect. Ashton’s a bright, affectionate, and athletic dog who bonds quickly and lives to share affection—he’ll give kisses and curl up with you at every opportunity. He was rescued after being found alone and abandoned, and the change in him when he met caring people was immediate—Ashton practically exploded with joy. He’s eager to share all his love, thrives on daily walks or outdoor adventures, and learns at lightning speed. Ashton is smart and wants to please, making him a fantastic fit for an outdoorsy, active adopter ready to include him as a true companion. He tends to get overstimulated around other dogs, so a home without other dogs (and no cats, please) is recommended, at least at first. Ashton is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. Born around January 2023, he weighs in at 55 lbs and has a short, black-and-white coat that shows off his athletic build.
