About Oakley
Oakley had a tough start—rescued as a tiny puppy under a shed back in January, he overcame parvo and kept bouncing. He’s one of Momma Onyx’s crew, and, at 12 weeks, already tips the scales between 15 and 20 lbs. With a black lab mom and an unknown dad, Oakley is expected to grow into a large, lab-sized adult. His nature runs sweet and playful, and he handles being around children and other animals with friendly ease. Vaccinated and neutered, he’s ready for a real home. Oakley’s adoption isn’t first come, first serve. The rescue thoughtfully matches dogs to homes, with priority on fit, not speed. Applications are free. House-training progress isn’t guaranteed—he’s still a puppy. Wags and Whiskers ensures every pup is altered before going home, sticking firmly to this policy after much consultation with vets. If Oakley feels like your next family member, their team welcomes your patience as volunteers work through inquiries. Give this big-hearted pup his new start. Your new best friend is just one click away.
