About Gwinnie
Gwinnie came to the rescue after turning up as a stray. She was in rough shape at intake, swelling with retained fluid that looked like pregnancy—turned out to be heartworm related. Thankfully, she’s responded to medication, is feeling better, and her swelling has gone down. The rescue will provide two years of slow-kill heartworm treatment for her adopter, and Gwinnie is expected to make a full recovery. Despite her hard start, Gwinnie has an easy temperament. She’s calm, quiet, and sweet with every animal and person she meets. She does great with dogs, cats, and children, and settles happily on the couch or bed for a good cuddle. She rides well in the car, behaves in a crate, and walks nicely on leash. Gwinnie is a 2- to 3-year-old Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler mix around 40 lbs. She’s house-mannered, gentle, and affectionate. Spayed and up to date on vaccinations, Gwinnie’s ready to find the family she deserves. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
