She's the kind of cat who enjoys being involved in whatever her people are doing, whether that means batting around her favorite catnip kicker toy, lounging nearby on a soft blanket, or curling up for a cozy cuddle session. Sweet and affectionate, Merri forms strong bonds with the people she loves and would be thrilled to be the center of someone's world. With her medium energy level, Merri has a wonderful balance of playful fun and relaxed companionship. She enjoys interactive play and exploring her surroundings, but she's equally happy settling into any soft spot she can find for a peaceful nap. She's comfortable being picked up and handled, though she also appreciates having the freedom to come and go on her own terms. Merri tolerates other cats but would likely be happiest as the star of the household where she can soak up all the attention. She does great with children of all ages and has excellent litter box manners. While she hasn't met dogs during her time in rescue, a slow and patient introduction may help her adjust.
