Rio is a gentle, playful, and deeply people-oriented kitten who has never met a human she didn’t trust. She arrived at her foster home ready for life indoors—impeccably neat at mealtimes, fully litter trained, quick to explore her stash of toys, and always eager to curl up next to her person for a nap. Rio’s personality stands out: she’s unusually affectionate for a kitten who’s been through so much, craving cuddles and human company more than anything. Her story took a turn when she was abandoned near a busy restaurant and resorted to seeking help from strangers, her friendly calls going ignored. A kind local rescued her from the traffic, bringing her to the safety of a cat colony, though Rio never quite fit in there—she made it clear she wanted to be with people. When her rescuer couldn’t keep her due to dog issues, Rio entered foster care, where she thrived again. She warmed up to the other cats and quickly figured out life in the home. Rio is now hoping for a permanent family who’ll give her the love and nightly snuggles she’s missed. She gets along well with other cats and is eager for a place of her own. All kittens under 4 months must be adopted in pairs unless there’s already another cat at home.
