About Luna

💕Luna💕 Born 2/27/26 Luna- such a lover, loves to cuddle up or be held. Amazing with kids (ours are five and six years old). She lets them pick her up even though they have no idea what they’re doing. She is so gentle and goes with the flow. working on potty training and doing well. They are 50-50 using the pee pad inside, but great going outside. She’s great overnight in a crate. Whining initially, but only for a few minutes. She just learned “SIT”. She is fine walking upstairs, but has not figured out how to go down yet. Loves laying in the sun or just being anywhere you are. But she is also fine alone. She is great on a leash. I also found that she is not afraid of the vacuum or mop. She barks very little. Mainly Only at her brother, Jetty when playing. Her favorite treat is the yak cheese bones! She is an angel and anyone would be lucky to have her ♥️ She is also great in the car. Either on a lap or sitting on a seat by herself. If you are interested in one of our puppies, the first step is to go to our website and fill out an application. https://placingpawsrescue.org/applications/dog-application/ BEFORE CONSIDERING A PUPPY FOR ADOPTION: Please keep in mind that puppies need attention during the day. They need frequent potty breaks, playtime, socialization and often a mid day meal. Please consider your daytime schedule before applying for a puppy. SPAY/NEUTER POLICY: Our adoption fee covers the puppies spay or neuter at our vet in Libertyville. If the puppy is adopted prior to the spay or neuter being done you will be required to bring the puppy back to our vet within 30 days for the surgery. ADOPTION FEE: $500.00 The adoption fee includes all age appropriate vaccinations including rabies, HW test if age appropriate, de-worming, microchip, fecal, spay or neuter, Heartworm and flea and tick preventative. ADOPTION PROCESS: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application online at www.placingpawsrescue.org. Once we review the applications, those applicants that are thought to be a good match will be contacted as quickly as possibly. We ask that you please be patient with us as we are all volunteers. Then a telephone interview will take place, references checked and a home visit will be conducted. We will then arrange for you to meet the dog. We require that all family members, including current dogs meet the dog prior to adoption. We put all of the known information in the animals description. If the animal is listed on the website, we are still accepting applications for that animal. We only remove the animal when the final adoption paperwork is signed. The best way to contact us is by email at placingpaws@yahoo.com. It is very difficult for the limited numbers of volunteers to return all calls. Thank you.
