Meet Shakira! In March 2026 she is about 1 year old; she is thought to be a lab mix. Shakira is black with brown brindling, and a white chest patch. In December 2025 she was 45 pounds, and we don't expect her to get too much larger. Shakira was a stray found in a cleared logging area in the woods. Shakira is a playful, affectionate pup with an independent streak. She'll cuddle a while before taking off on her own agenda. She has not started house training yet; she is not food aggressive. A home with a fenced yard will be ideal for her; she enjoys her walks and walks well on a leash. Shakira is smart, for sure; she sits at your feet when she's stopped. She's good with dogs and has no problems with cats (no close contact though). Please give Shakira a chance to prove her love and welcome her into your heart and home.
