About Siri

Siri is an 8-and-a-half-year-old Pembroke Welsh Corgi searching for a peaceful home where she can rest and heal. She’s currently working her way through heartworm treatment—a process that requires a quiet, relaxed environment with limited activity and plenty of attention. While it may sound daunting, families who have opened their homes to dogs in treatment often find it deeply rewarding to watch them regain strength and confidence. Heartworm isn’t contagious to other pets, so Siri can safely share space with your existing animals. During her recovery, she’ll appreciate gentle care, calm routines, and a patient adopter willing to offer time and affection. Once recovery is complete, she’ll be ready to settle into a full, healthy life as part of your family. If you’re within 60 miles of Kansas City, you might qualify for a foster-to-adopt program, which lets Siri start bonding with you while the rescue covers her medical needs. Siri is up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, and receives regular prevention for fleas, ticks, and worms. She’s not yet house trained, so a bit of patience with that will help her thrive. With her white, cream, black, and chocolate coat, and her mellow Pembroke Corgi disposition, Siri will bring a calming presence to any home willing to give her the comfort and support she deserves. Fun fact: with a birthday on October 29, Siri is a Scorpio—expect a loyal companion with plenty of heart. Start your journey together! Apply now.
