About Toby

From their foster mom, Renee: Patches and Toby are a beautiful bonded pair who have been together their entire lives. They were originally rescued by us as tiny kittens at just 5 weeks old and adopted into a loving home when they were 3 months old. After spending the last five years with their family, they were sadly returned to our rescue due to allergies in the household. Now they’re looking for a new home together where they can settle back into a calm, loving routine. Both cats can be a little shy at first after such a big change, but once they feel comfortable, they become friendly, sweet companions who enjoy being near their people while still doing their own thing. Patches is the first to greet you when you walk into the room, which always makes me smile. Toby is more likely to flop over dramatically onto his back and invite you to guess whether today is a “belly rub allowed” kind of day. They’re both still playful and enjoy chasing feather toys and other moving toys around the house. And honestly, their tails deserve their own fan club. Patches has gorgeous long fur, and Toby’s smoky black coat is beautiful, with black on the ends and soft gray underneath. Both of them have unbelievably fluffy tails that are impossible not to notice. These two would do best in a patient, loving home that will give them a little time to adjust and settle in at their own pace. Once they feel safe, they are easy, calm companions who are simply happy being nearby. They should also do well with older children. Because of their long coats, they’ll need regular gentle brushing to keep them looking and feeling their best. Patches and Toby have already spent their lives together, and we would love to see them stay together as they start this next chapter. Born 4/18/2021 At Meowtown, we don’t have a traditional, physical shelter - all of our cats live in loving foster homes. That means they are already used to real home life, and we truly know their personalities, habits, and what makes them special. They are safe, socialized, and ready to be part of a family. They’re not waiting to become housecats… they already are. They just need a house.
