About Cooper
Cooper is looking for a family or person who sees dogs as genuine teammates. Now in Oklahoma, he’s waiting for transport to approved adopters in select cities, making his transition as smooth as possible. Cooper will hop off transport ready to go—adoptions are finalized in advance and, if things don’t work out, he always has a safety net back at the rescue. Cooper is about 1.5–2 years old, weighing 36 lbs, with a blend of Australian Shepherd, Mini Aussie, Rat Terrier, and other smaller breeds. He’s medium-sized, athletic, tricolor, and sharp as a tack. Cooper has energy to spare and needs plenty of exercise, mental challenges, and interaction. He’s eager to please, friendly, and happiest alongside people; he travels well in the car and walks nicely on leash. If you’ve got hiking trails, room for fetch, or dreams of agility, Cooper should thrive with you. His past few months were spent in a barn setting, so while he’s currently house trained, he’ll need continued support with indoor routines and boundaries. Cooper gets along with other dogs, likes children, and, though he chases cats, he shows no aggression—he just wants to play. With the right outlet, his working-breed energy can really shine. He arrives neutered, up to date on all core vaccinations, microchipped, and current on preventatives—there’s not much to worry about health-wise. His adoption fee covers everything, including professional pet transport to your area. Cooper is ideal for someone active who understands herding breeds and wants a companion for adventure.
