About Judy

Judy has clearly been through a lot lately, but what stands out most is how much softness she still has left to give. Even while nervous and unsure in a new environment, she has continued to approach people for comfort, leaning into gentle pets and allowing handling with quiet trust. She may start out curled up in her bed watching the world carefully, but once she realizes someone is kind, her sweet side starts to shine through. There is something especially touching about a dog who chooses connection even when she has every reason to be cautious. Judy is recovering well after treatment for an anal prolapse and is currently doing well post-procedure. She also arrived underweight and in rough condition, so her future family should expect to help her continue gaining strength and confidence as she settles into home life. Staff describe her as gentle and cooperative during exams, leaning against people for reassurance and accepting care without issue. Judy feels like the kind of dog who will blossom beautifully in a calm, patient home where she can finally exhale, feel safe, and enjoy being cared for the way she deserves. All adoptions include support from our adoption team to ensure a smooth transition from the shelter to your home. Adopted pets are vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed/neutered before leaving the shelter's care.
