About Grimm

***Grimm is not currently at the shelter! To inquire please contact Abigail at 607-437-7721*** Meet Grimm! 🖤 Grimm is an approximately 10-month-old goofy, loving pup with a huge personality and an even bigger heart! We brought him home at 8 weeks old in August 2025, and he has grown into an incredibly smart and affectionate dog who absolutely loves people, attention, and playtime. He is potty trained, crate trained, and eager to learn. Grimm already knows commands like sit, shake, and lay down, and he picks up new tricks very quickly — especially when treats are involved! He is highly food motivated, which makes training fun and rewarding. Grimm has been around small dogs, cats, and young children. He truly loves everyone he meets and has a very friendly nature. Because he’s still a puppy and doesn’t realize how big he is, he would do best with a family that understands puppy energy and is willing to continue working on manners and leash training. He loves toys, zooming around the house, chewing on collagen sticks, lounging in the sun, and relaxing with his favorite peanut butter-filled Kong. Once he gets his energy out, he’s happy to curl up beside you on the couch or lay at your feet. Grimm currently lives with three cats. He may try to chase cats at first because one of our cats enjoys playing chase with him, but he has learned to respect boundaries with cats that don’t want to interact. He responds well to correction and has done much better over time. He does pull strongly on leash, and while we’ve tried both collars and harnesses, a harness seems to provide the best control. Continued leash training will definitely help him succeed. Grimm also has some skin sensitivities/allergies that have improved greatly since removing chicken and grain from his diet. One funny thing about Grimm — we lovingly call him our “vacuum cleaner” because he likes to put everything in his mouth! He usually responds well to “drop it,” but supervision is still important. Grimm will come with: • His crate • Raised food and water bowl set • Harness and leash • Remaining toys, treats, and food He has received 2 out of 3 rounds of vaccinations through his vet in Davenport, NY, and records can be provided. Grimm is looking for a loving home that will continue helping him grow into the amazing dog we know he will be. He is playful, loyal, affectionate, and full of personality — truly a wonderful companion for the right family.
