Happy Spring! Warmer weather is finally on it's way and so is Kitten Season! We need to make room for new Moms and kittens so they can be fixed and get them forever homes! Coraline is domestic short haired black minipanther, spayed female, up to date on her shots, around 3 years old and available for adoption to be an indoor ONLY cat from Griffith Animal Control/Treasured Friends Rescue in Highland Northwest Indiana. Hi! My name is Coraline and I am sooo happy to meet you! I love to purr all the time now, but I haven’t always had a reason to purr. I came from a very sad situation with too many kitties. I won’t let my past define me because I’m too busy celebrating my future! I just know I'm on my way to having the best life ever and the only thing missing is a family of my own! If you look at my photos, you’ll notice one of my eyes is a little different from the other. My eyelashes were irritating one of my eyes and I had to have surgery to correct it. I'm 100% fine now, but it made one eye a little different than the other. I don't care though! I think it just makes me a little cuter! Now that I’m safe at the shelter, I love rolling around and stretching out! I love to show off my belly while playing with my toys or just stretch out my legs too! I’m so grateful to be warm, fed, and safe! I already feel like a loved kitty, but I’m dreaming of having a person all to myself to love! I promise I don't need much, just some love, good food, and lots of pets! I’m officially ready for meet and greets! I have my very own 'room' at the shelter where we can visit and get to know each other. I get along with other kitties (with a proper introduction) so if you already have a kitty we could be friends! Our fosters & volunteers work with shy and/or unsocialized kitties everyday to get them used to being pet and to show them no one will hurt them. However, when they go to a new home, some kitties will require extra time to get used to new surroundings and different people. Please consider giving a kittie who might need a little time to get used to a new home, a chance. This is a serious commitment and it sets the kitties back in their level of trust if they are given up after a few weeks or months.
