Squirt is a special needs girl that is looking for her forever home through the Foster to Adopt program! She is 3 months old and is a Mastiff/Terrier mix. Squirt arrived at the shelter in rough shape, and we were told that the mother was too rough with her causing some wounds that had abscessed. Squirt also has malformed back legs which is most likely a genetic defect. She still does everything that a "normal" puppy can do! Squirt is a part of our Foster to Adopt program where puppies are fostered in their future forever homes until they are able to be spayed or neutered, then the adoption takes place after they are altered. This allows the puppy to be in a home environment and work on training instead of being stuck at the shelter until they are old enough to be altered. **To be a part of the Foster to Adopt program you MUST reside in Pennsylvania (sorry no exceptions to this rule), be within an hour drive of the shelter, fill out an application to be an approved adopter and understand that they will need trips back to the shelter for vetting.
