About Mango & Papaya
Meet Mango & Papaya, affectionately known as The Fruits. These two 9-year-old spayed female best friends are ready to find a home together in Tucson or the surrounding areas. Mango comes in at 8 lbs, a spunky chihuahua-dachshund mix bursting with personality, while Papaya is a 9 lb chihuahua-yorkie mix, gentler and more reserved. Both are fully potty pad trained—walks and backyard time are fun, but the pads are their go-to. Mango needs ongoing thyroid meds and a liver supplement, totaling around $15 per month; Papaya isn't on any medication. Both girls have had dental care and are current on all core vaccines. They want nothing more than constant closeness with their person, often curled up in bed or snuggled in for a good cuddle. They’ve been easygoing with dogs of all sizes and will stand up for themselves if another gets too pushy. Their reactions to cats are unknown. Because of their size and occasional timidness, they’d do best with adults or respectful, older children. These loyal, loving ladies are looking for a soft spot to land—together.
