To schedule a time to meet this animal, please email meetme@arl-iowa.org. --- - Can be nervous around new people at first, but very loving and snuggly with people he knows and trusts - Favorite thing is to curl up in a ball on the couch and snuggle or lie in the sun - LOVES food and treats, so would likely be fun to train - Foster family says he tends to be a pretty calm pup for his age and generally knows which things are and aren't okay to chew on - Does well in his kennel when his foster family is away; foster family says he may bark in his kennel if he's completely alone, but does better if their resident dog is home with him - Foster family says he sleeps in his kennel at night, but would much rather sleep in bed with his people! - Foster family says he is mostly potty trained and does not have accidents in his kennel during the day or overnight - LOVES the resident dog in his foster home and would likely do best with a dog friend to show him the ropes in his new home All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age) The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
