Athena is a 6-year-old Great Dane who made her way to the rescue after a shelter transfer. She stands out as a gentle giant, quick to cozy up with anyone willing to give her attention. Give Athena space, and you can watch her break out in zoomies that make everyone smile. Snuggles and pets rank high on her list of favorite things, but she also enjoys daily walks and new outdoor sights. Athena does well on leash overall, though her size means she can be a strong puller when excited, so it's good to be ready for a brisk pace. She’s an affectionate dog who thrives on time with people. Athena gets along well with other dogs and is also good with children. If you want a walking buddy who loves cuddles and has a playful, loyal spirit, Athena might be the dog for you.
