About Gibby

Gibby had a rough start, found outside an auto parts shop in rough shape, but she wasted no time trusting people—she walked right up to her rescuers. Now settled indoors, she’s thriving as a low-key, affectionate tuxedo cat who lives for chin scratches and belly rubs. She has a gentle 'old lady' meow and sometimes drools from sheer contentment while being petted. Gibby isn’t a fan of being picked up—she prefers keeping her paws on the ground and will happily stay by your side for hours. Her days center around simple pleasures: lounging, occasional toy play, and soaking in the comforts of indoor life. Gibby is relaxed but has little fits of playful curiosity as she regains her strength. She’ll do best in a calm home with adults or kids who understand feline boundaries, since she values personal space, especially when it comes to being carried. While she’s heartworm positive with a heart murmur, neither is causing her any trouble or symptoms, and her vet isn’t recommending intensive treatment. Gibby also has “Florida spots” (keratopathy) in her blue eyes—a totally benign quirk that doesn’t affect her well-being. She’s house trained, spayed, vaccinated, and gets along well with other cats. If you want a mellow, companionable senior with a resilient spirit and a soft spot for affection, Gibby is ready for a quiet, loving home. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
