Full of beans — that’s me. I’m a 3 year old Cavapoo (that’s King Charles Cavalier Spaniel mixed with Miniature Poodle) and I weigh about 10 pounds. I’m a happy little guy with a soft heart, a goofy side, and a very impressive high-pitched howl. I came from an older couple who loved me very much, but their health declined and they could no longer care for me. Because of all the changes, I’m pretty nervous around new people and situations. Humans can be a little scary at first, but other dogs, I love them — especially the ladies. Having another friendly dog in the home would really help me feel safe and confident. l also get along with cats, and older kids who understand I need patience and gentle handling. I’m still learning how to be brave. I try to play and really want to connect, but sometimes my nervousness gets in the way. Once I settle in, my sweet personality starts to shine. I’m working on housebreaking and leash training right now. I do pretty well in my crate, but I’m still scared of the leash, so I’ll need a home with a secure privacy-fenced yard where I can safely go outside without too much pressure. Because I can be vocal and have a dramatic little howl, apartment life probably isn’t the best fit for me. My ideal family will understand that I need time to adjust and won’t expect me to be perfect right away. A calm home, another friendly dog, and people willing to let me learn at my own pace would make all the difference for me. I should mention: I LOVE a good cow hoof to chew on. Also… I could definitely use a fresh haircut. If you’re patient, kind, and willing to help a nervous little guy build confidence, I promise I’m worth it.
