Every constellation starts with a few bright little stars finding their place in the universe, and I’m pretty sure I’m one of them. I’m Orion, a 7 week old Heinz 57 mixed breed pup weighing about 7 pounds right now, though I’m expected to grow into a medium-sized dog someday. At the moment, I’m made up of puppy energy, puppy curiosity, puppy naps, and just a tiny bit of chaos. My daily routine looks a lot like this: zoom around at the speed of light, investigate absolutely everything, crash hard for a nap, and then wake up ready to do it all over again. Even though I’m still little, I’m already learning some important things. I sit politely before I eat, and I’m working very hard on understanding “no bite.” I’m also learning house training, crate training, and leash training one tiny puppy step at a time. I absolutely love other dogs and would really thrive in a home with an older dog to help guide me. I’m brave, adventurous, and surprisingly independent for such a young pup. I love the dog door and I’ll happily head outside on my own to explore the yard or snooze on the outdoor dog bed like a little king under the stars. Because of my adventurous spirit, I’ll need a home with a secure fenced yard where I can safely run, play, and continue discovering the world around me. I’m playful, smart, affectionate, and always looking for my next adventure. Right now, I’m just a tiny star in the making — full of potential, personality, and puppy antics — waiting for the perfect family constellation to become part of. **As a reminder, puppies will need lots of time and attention during the first year.
