About Emerald

Emerald, affectionately known as Emmy, has been through a lot in her short life. When she arrived, she was thin and fighting off mange and a stubborn skin infection—but her spirit never wavered. Despite feeling her worst, Emerald greeted every person and dog with warmth. She's a young, medium-sized mixed breed with a heart as big as her name, and her happy-go-lucky nature has only grown as she’s recovered. Emerald gets along great with other dogs and loves everyone she meets. She hasn’t been thoroughly tested with cats, but she certainly notices them, so a no-cat home could be best. She’s not exactly a high-energy dog, but she does enjoy a good romp, car rides, and of course, snuggling up for a nap. She isn’t house trained yet but has shown herself to be very well behaved. Emmy is fully vetted, dewormed, and microchipped. Her reddish coat is still coming in, but it doesn’t dim her shine one bit. This is a good dog who’s eager to find her people.
