Nico is a two-year-old German Shepherd, full of athletic energy and typical shepherd confidence. He’s a big, strong dog at around 90 lbs, with a classic black and tan coat and an obvious intelligence that wants a job to do. Nico needs an experienced, consistent owner—someone who isn’t going to let him run the household, but will keep him challenged with structure, exercise, and clear guidance. He’s especially food motivated and trainable, but he doesn’t come fully equipped with manners and will need someone ready to invest in his obedience from the ground up. Nico thrives with active routines and would love daily walks, runs, or hikes. He’s playful and does best with large female dogs, but he can’t live with cats. He’ll do fine with older children who are comfortable around big, energetic dogs. His ideal home is with someone serious about commitment and structure, who will take pride in helping him become a well-balanced companion.
