Introducing this handsome guy named Crowley! He was brought to the shelter on 5/1 because he was on an adventure and eventually got lost. So, he is on a quick search for a forever and committed home that will keep him safe and sound, so he doesn't have to experience a loud, overcrowded shelter ever again. Crowley is only 6 years and 7 months and weighs a mere 51lbs. The volunteers describe him super sweet and really cute. He loves his walking adventures when he leaves his kennel to sniff anywhere and everywhere, and he walks really well on a leash. But even with walking with the leash very well, he still could benefit a routine of leash training so that he will continue to do well. He would make a great student with this training. He deserves someone that will give him a constant routine of stability and support. He needs someone that will never give up on him. He has have never had someone to be in his corner. He is a smart young man and can understand simple commands such as sit when asked especially for treats, shake, and lay down. He does take treats so gently! He stays quiet in his kennel while he patiently waits for his new family. Please take some time and visit with him in Run 826; his ID is 18658. He is looking for a home that will be committed to helping him decompress, learn the leash, feel trust, respect his boundaries, help him navigate each day better and better. Someone that will understand him and see what he is thinking. A devoted volunteer has been helping him with leash training, earning his trust, help him rehearse good traits, and let him know not every person is a bad person. When choosing a forever pup, please make sure you have the space, time, energy, devotion, patience, love and lifestyle to ensure Crowley has the best upbringing possible. They are lifetime commitments. Period. Crowley is current on vaccines, neutered, microchipped and tested negative for heartworms. Please take some time and schedule to meet this awesome kiddo and get to know him a little better. Crowley is probably what you have been looking for all this time. He is patiently waiting for his forever family to save his life. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers.
