Meet Mavis, a striking Great Dane mix who was found wandering a parking lot searching for help until a compassionate woman brought her to safety. Mavis quickly won over her foster family with her easygoing nature and ability to adapt. She’s great with people and other dogs, rides calmly in the car, appears housebroken, and is comfortable in a crate. She lived with a young child in her foster home and was always gentle and affectionate. Cats and small animals are not a match for her, though—she does have a moderate prey drive. Mavis loves water, especially when it’s coming from a hose. At her foster home, she enjoyed standing on the sun shelf of the pool but never showed much interest in swimming.
