Written: 5/13/2016 Age: 1 year Meet Sky! Sky found herself in our care after she had kittens in a local shelter, and needed to get out! From day one, she has been nothing but affectionate and loving. You could probably hear her purr from a mile away if you listened hard enough. She loves to be in the space of people, and will kindly ask for as many pets as you will give her. Even when she was a new mom and had her young kittens, she never minded the foster handling them, and would purr and wait for her turn to be pet. She is currently in a home with other dogs and cats, and is indifferent to both. She can be a little weary of them and may back away, but warms up quickly if you're in the room with her and will flop in front of you for pets. She is litter box trained, and all Beagles and Bentleys cats are required to be indoor only. Her adoption fee is $150 and covers core vaccinations, her spay, and microchip, along with the cost of her care while in foster. To apply to adopt Sky, please apply at beaglesandbentleys.org/adopt. We require adopters to be within a reasonable distance of Richmond or Virginia Beach in order to complete spay/neuter with our approved clinics. Beagles and Bentleys has an across-the-board evaluative process that we apply to every application we review that prioritizes our animals in need. We conduct a vet reference check (all resident dogs must be altered/up to date on dhpp/rabies and monthly preventatives, and cats must be altered and up to date on rabies) and a virtual home visit call where we discuss the adoption process and see your home.
