Meet Maverick This handsome young tabby may play a little hard to get at first—but don’t be fooled. Under that shy exterior is a total lovebug just waiting for his moment to shine. Maverick likes to take things slow in new environments. He’ll hang back, observe, and make sure everything feels safe. But once you’ve earned his trust? Game over. He flips the switch and becomes obsessed with pets, snuggles, and affection. The transformation is real—and so worth it. He absolutely thrives with other cats and will need a confident feline friend in his forever home. Maverick adores his foster siblings and has even started showing his nurturing side by taking a younger kitten under his wing. He’d be over the moon to be adopted with his best buddy Smudge, but would also do well with another friendly, outgoing cat to help him feel secure. One of Maverick’s most legendary traits? His massages. Seriously—this boy is famous for them. He loves to knead and groom his cat friends, showing his affection in the sweetest (and most hilarious) way. He’s also playful and curious, with a love for climbing and exploring. A tall cat tree is a must for this little adventurer. Maverick just needs a patient home that will give him the time to settle in—because once he does, he’ll reward you with endless love, snuggles, and maybe even a massage or two. Adoption fees are as follows: $175 for a single cat or kitten, $225 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.
