About Mopup

Meet Mopup, also known as Laney from the Cleaning Crew litter, who is now a lively 6-year-old Boxer with a love for soaking up all the affection and cozy spots she can find. Laney's a quick study, loyal and affectionate, happiest when she's close to her people. She shines when given structure and eagerly shows off her training—sit, stay, place, and more are all in her toolbox. Life hasn't always been smooth for her. Though once adopted, she came back to rescue due to her adopter's health. Laney missed out on some early socialization with other dogs, making her nervous with high-energy pups or crowded environments. Calm male dogs are easier for her, but she's most relaxed as the only pet in the home, where she doesn’t have to compete for attention. She can be hesitant with unfamiliar men coming into the house, but with some patience and predictability, she opens up. She’s done well with trusted people, including her foster dad. Laney is for someone who understands that trust is built, not given. In return, she’s loyal to the core. Crate trained and house trained, Laney thrives on routine. Currently, she takes anxiety medication to help her feel at ease, especially during thunderstorms or fireworks—when you may catch her bravely barking at the storm as neighborhood protector. Laney is best suited to a calm home with adults or respectful teens. Without other animals around, her playful, intelligent, goofy side comes out, and her affection knows no bounds.
