About Daisy

Meet Daisy Daisy is a 6-year-old, FIV+ cat who is struggling in the shelter environment. The noise, activity, and presence of other cats have been overwhelming for her, and she has become very withdrawn. Daisy is a tough nut to crack—she is shy, guarded, and not currently showing much of her personality—but this behavior reflects how stressed she is, not who she truly is. Before coming to the shelter, Daisy was living as a stray on someone's porch. She was brought indoors to give her safety and stability, where she showed herself to be a sweet, gentle cat who did best in a quiet home. She enjoyed having her own calm space and was never pushy for attention. Unfortunately, she struggled to adjust to living with a very energetic kitten who could not respect her space, and she remained largely isolated for her own comfort. Daisy will need a patient adopter who understands that trust will take time. She is not a cat who will immediately seek affection, and she may start out hiding or keeping her distance. With consistency, calm, and realistic lexpectations, Daisy has the potential to slowly relax and feel safe again. She would do best in a quiet, predictable home, ideally as an only cat or with very mellow, respectful companions. About FIV:FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) affects only cats and cannot be spread to people or other animals. Many FIV+ cats live long, healthy lives with routine care. It is most commonly spread through deep bite wounds, which means FIV+ cats can safely live with calm, non-aggressive cats or happily as only pets. Daisy isn't looking for perfection—just patience, peace, and a chance to finally exhale. For the right person, giving Daisy that space could mean everything.
