He can be a little unsure in tight or noisy moments and may flash an endearing submissive smile while he warms up, but give him a minute, a calm voice, and a few tasty snacks, and he is all in for affection, belly rubs, and making new besties. In a home, he has been gentle with young kids and does well when he has something to keep his brain busy, especially if snacks are involved, since he is eager to work for food and happily offers a sit. On walks, he is often a slow-motion sniffari explorer, though he is strong and may pull with enthusiasm when he spots someone he wants to go say hi to, so a steady handler and practice will help him shine. He would do best meeting new dog friends with thoughtful, gradual introductions. He is not a fan of cats, and can be nervous about things like thunder and certain types of handling, so a patient approach is a great match for this sweet, sensitive pack mate.
