Meet Tundra, a 7-year-old German Shepherd with a gentle soul and lots of love to give! Tundra came to us after being surrendered to a vet to be euthanized because she was considered “too old” to breed, but she’s proving every day that her best years are still ahead of her! She’s a sweet, quiet girl who takes a little time to warm up, but once she trusts you, she’s full of soft kisses and affection. We suspect Tundra spent most of her life in a crate because she seems to find comfort in her crate and will sometimes put herself in it, though she prefers the door left open. She’s very gentle, takes treats politely, and she’s great on a leash, good with other dogs, and rides calmly in the car. While Tundra is calm and quiet in the house (we’ve never even heard her bark!), she still has plenty of energy to burn and would thrive in an active home that can help her build confidence and enjoy life outside the crate. She deserves a family that will show her the love, patience, and freedom she’s likely never had before.
