About Opal

***Apply to adopt at https://pawsitiveheartspa.rescuegroups.org/info/display?PageID=22009&popup=Yes (DO NOT SUBMIT PETFINDER INQUIRY PLEASE!)*** 05/12/2026 Meet Opal Opal’s story is one we may never fully know. She showed up at a colony as an unclaimed stray — scared, unsure, and clearly trying her best just to survive. When she was trapped, she wasn’t aggressive… just terrified. The kind of fear that makes you wonder what she may have experienced before someone finally gave her a chance. But despite all of that, Opal is already showing us who she truly is. Every single day, she blossoms a little more. She’s learning that humans can be kind. That hands can bring comfort instead of fear. That she is finally safe. The vet believes Opal was born with the deformity affecting her left eye, and we are unsure how much she can see from it — but the good news is that it does not hurt her and she navigates life just fine. In fact, it only makes her even more unique and beautiful. Opal is approximately 1 year old and: ✔️ Spayed ✔️ Vaccinated ✔️ Tested ✔️ Ready for a home of her own She is not a “perfect immediately outgoing” kitty — and honestly, that’s what makes her so special. Watching a scared cat slowly learn to trust is one of the most rewarding experiences imaginable. Opal needs someone patient. Someone willing to let her move at her own pace and continue building confidence. And I truly believe that whoever gives her that chance is going to end up with an incredible cat. She may start out shy… but underneath that uncertainty is a sweet girl just waiting to feel safe enough to fully love. 🖤 Write bio - what is best home for cat (quiet, older people, no kids, etc.).
