About Hannah

Every once in a while, we as rescuers come across situations that make us shake our heads even more than usual. Hannah came from one of those situations. Once upon a time, there was a woman who had 11 kittens. For some reason, she thought it would be a good idea to keep those kittens in dog cages --two-three per cage-- in her garage for the first year of their lives. They are all out, and they all did surprisingly well. Hannah has shown herself to have a disposition as sweet as her name. She can get along well with other cats who respect her space if properly introduced. We can certainly give you pointers about that. Despite her rough start, she’s playful, friendly, and wonderfully well adjusted. Hannah loves attention, enjoys playtime, and quickly bonds with those who show her kindness. She is a combination of sweetness and independence who loves human company and purrs warmly when petted. We have not observed her with dogs or kids; we think she'd do well with dogs or kids who know how to treat cats respectfully. Hannah should be adopted into an interactive home where she'll get lots of attention and won't be left unaccompanied for long hours. Hannah is an adorable little sweetheart with a personality that will fill any home with warmth, love, and fun. She's an easy cat who would be suitable for a first-time adopter. Hannah has been spayed, is current on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, and treated for worms and fleas. Her adopter will receive her full medical records. She’s being fostered in Brookline.  Adoptions are facilitated by video meet-and-greets, as well as in-person visits.  There is a simple adoption process and an adoption fee of $225, which helps us continue rescuing cats in need. Cats can live up to 20 years, so please consider whether you can commit to providing a safe, loving home for life before adopting. Please respond by saying a little about yourself and the home you would provide. Doing so helps us match cats with the right adopters. Including your phone number is likely to lead to a faster response.
