Meet the lovely Terry! There is a family at the trailer park that have a habit of getting new cats and displacing the ones that came before them. They have been doing this for years. They moved away to a trailer park in another part of town for a couple of years and came back this past year. When they returned, they had 3 adult cats (possibly more) and 4 older kittens. All of them were placed outside. During the bitter cold months, their shelter was a dresser drawer with a towel and a tarp over it. They were fed people food that sat in a pot outside for days. There was never a water bowl nor fresh food. They said we could take them, so we have. This profile is for Terry. We believe she might be the mother of some of the older kittens, but we are not certain because the other adult, Treva is also a female. All of these cats needed dental surgery. Terry had her surgery already and her mouth has healed beautifully. Terry is a 3 to 4-yr. old, short haired black cutie. She has a cute, little and soft round face and is very cute and quiet. It's easy to forget she is there because she's so quiet. She is either observing life around her, or taking a nap, or letting us love on her. Inside life must feel so weird for her since she's used to living outside and in harsh conditions. She will lay on her back and let us pet her belly. She is hesitant around other cats; it might be from the years spent outside protecting herself. We think she will be ok with a laid-back chill cat or by herself. We think dogs might scare her. A quiet home would we best, one without young children. She's a good eater and loves her canned food. She is going to make such a great member of the family that will give you memories for a lifetime. She just needs someone that will give her a chance and understanding. Her sister, Treva is also looking for a home, and we think they would do great together. Terry is not as confident as Treva and looks to her to provide her guidance and comfort.
