About Octane & Rione

When bonded sisters Octane and Rione first came to The Cat Connection after their owner was forced to move, they were understandably heartbroken and shy. But what a difference a little love and patience makes! We are thrilled to report that these 2½-year-old sisters have totally come out of their shells and are doing amazing in their foster home.  Octane and Rione are now the definition of "velcro cats." They are incredibly affectionate and constantly seek out pets, cuddles, and even belly rubs. Rione has become a dedicated lap cat, often sitting on her foster mom’s lap, while both sisters make sure to stay right by your side throughout the day. They are also fantastic with guests! When people come over, these girls are just as friendly and affectionate with visitors as they are with their fosters. They are comfortable being picked up and handled, and their foster mom has even been able to trim their nails with no issues at all. These sisters share a beautiful bond and can often be found lounging together. They have shown zero aggression—no scratching or hissing—just pure sweetness. Because they are so bonded to each other and thrive in their current environment, they would still do best as the only pets in a quiet home where they can continue to be the stars of the show. If you are looking for two gentle, loving, and social companions who will follow you from room to room, Octane and Rione are the perfect match. -------- If you are interested in adopting, please fill out our online adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: http://thecatconnection.org/adopt/adoption-application/ Following the instructions and filling out this application rather than emailing us will get you a quicker response. Please also consider fostering as an alternative to adoption. To learn more, go to: http://thecatconnection.org/get-involved/foster/ Adoption Fee (effective 3/15/24) < 12 mos. $375 1-4 yrs $300 5-9 yrs. $250 10+ yrs. $125 These fees fund spay/neutering, microchipping, vaccinations, and combo testing (feline leukemia and FIV) for your adopted cat, rescue efforts, shelter, and veterinary care. Our policy is to adopt kittens in pairs. We find that kittens are much happier when they have a companion and they tend to expend their youthful energy on each other rather than on your couch! Kittens are adorable, but older cats can be wonderful pets as well and they tend to be overlooked, so please consider adopting an adult cat or two! The Cat Connection is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3)organization of volunteers who rescue homeless cats. To find out more about us, please visit our website: http://thecatconnection.org/
