The Big Cheese is a 5-year-old Great Pyrenees weighing in at 96 pounds of pure sweetness, fluff, and personality. This beautiful girl is not only the mama to our adorable cheese puppies, but she’s also quickly become a favorite among staff and volunteers thanks to her gentle nature, goofy antics, and ever-present smile. She truly lives up to her name — she’s the whole package and absolutely runs the show in the best possible way. Like many Great Pyrenees, The Big Cheese has an independent side, but she much prefers being close to her people and involved in whatever they’re doing. Whether she’s following you from room to room, supervising outdoor activities, or simply lounging nearby with a happy grin on her face, she’s happiest when she gets to be part of the family. She has a calm, easygoing presence that makes people instantly fall in love with her. Despite her giant size, The Big Cheese is incredibly gentle and affectionate. She has the kind of personality that makes visitors stop and say, “She is SO sweet.” She’s the perfect mix of loving companion and entertaining goofball. One of her favorite hobbies? Stealing the treat jar and proudly carrying it around outside like she just won first place at the county fair. She keeps everyone laughing with her silly shenanigans and lovable charm. As the proud mama of Gouda, Mozzarella, Fontina, Cheddar, and Brie, it’s no surprise that her puppies inherited plenty of personality too. The Big Cheese has done an amazing job raising her little cheese crew, and now it’s finally her turn to be spoiled in a forever home of her own. We believe The Big Cheese could thrive in many different types of homes thanks to her friendly, adaptable personality.
