Pulled from a high-kill shelter in Houston with her newborns, she kept her gentle spirit even as her puppies were taken from her far too soon. Despite heartbreak and upheaval, Lola’s calm, loving nature won over everyone who met her—both in foster care and now in boarding, where staff still describe her as quietly affectionate, easygoing, and exceptionally well-mannered. She thrives in a home setting and values being close to her people. Lola does wonderfully with other dogs and young children. However, she is not suited for homes with very small animals. Her fosters trusted her with free roam and toddlers, and she bonded closely with their medium-sized dog. She’s described as “the best dog in the universe,” true to her loyal, gentle reputation. Lola weighs about 45 pounds and offers a steady, calm presence—never needy, but always nearby when you want a companion. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and kept up to date on heartworm and flea prevention. Lola is in Houston but can be adopted anywhere in the US or Canada for the right home.
