He's smart, social, and eager to learn without being over-the-top or chaotic. He gets along well with other dogs, has shown no reactivity toward people or dogs in foster care, and has settled nicely into a home routine. Ruger is house trained, crate trained, walks well on leash, rides great in the car, and has excellent manners at the vet clinic. He already knows "Sit," is currently working on "Down" and "Stay," and learns quickly with structure and consistency. While he's active and intelligent like any young Malinois, he appears to be more of a companion-type dog than a high-drive working dog. Ruger would thrive with an adopter who wants an active, loyal best friend and is willing to continue his training and engagement as he matures.
