About Colesser Rosie

General Notes | Some of the most beautiful flowers take a little time to bloom, and our sweet doodle Rosie is no exception! While she might start off as a bashful observer, a little patience unlocks her true superpower: an endlessly gentle and loving heart. Want to adopt this dog? Please do not email us. Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP, and an Adoption Coordinator will be in touch within a few days. Our standard application processing timeline is 12 - 14 days. Personality | Rosie is a sweet and gentle doodle girl who tends to be very shy when encountering new people and environments. She takes a little time to warm up and feel safe, but your patience with her is incredibly rewarding. Once she fully settles in, Rosie truly blossoms, revealing a remarkably loving nature. Rosie would love to just be a companion dog, she wants to be where her people are. Story | Rosie was adopted as an 8 week puppy and was well loved from the moment she moved in. Unfortunately, her family came upon tough times and had to rehome this sweet girl due to housing insecurity. They wanted her to find the best home possible and knew she had the best chance in Colorado with a rescue, so they reached out to MHLM to help! Other Dogs | Good with other dogs! She is nervous around new people and dogs alike, but has coexisted well with big and small dogs in her foster homes. She likes to play with doggy friends once she feels comfortable! Rosie is a huge fan of the dog park and loves to explore, but quickly comes and checks back in with her foster parents. She is starting to understand what play looks like, and has a favorite pikachu toy! Cats | Rosie has been nice to the kitties in her foster home! She mostly ignores them, but is curious, but redirects easily. Children | Rosie spent her first year living with tiny babies up to teenagers and loves little kiddos! She is still really shy when she meets new people so little kids coming on her might overwhelm her so she'd prefer a family, with or without kids, that will let her take the time to feel comfortable in her new home. Training | She is potty trained and crate trained. She sleeps in the crate at night without a peep! Leash | Rosie is a little shy on the leash at first but walks great once she trusts that her new people will keep her safe and secure. Activity Level | Moderate. Health Notes | Healthy and heartworm negative! Her previous family did mention that she sheds, so she wouldn't be good for a family looking for a doodle due to allergies. Thank you! | Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $575 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year old, $525 for 1 - 6 years old, $475 for dogs 7 - 10 years old, and $350 for 11+ years of age. Purebred dogs regardless of age are $625. These minimum donations help to defer the costs of initial vet care, food, transportation to Colorado, and supplies while in foster care (that currently average over $750 per dog).
