Hazel and Lucky are beautiful 10-month-old bonded sisters looking for their purrfect home. Since the girls had a little bit of a rough start, they're really hoping for a smooth finish. Hazel, white with tabby markings, is the more outgoing of the pair. She will sit on the floor and patiently wait for someone to come over and give pets, gentle forehead kisses, and butt pats. Well, if by patient she means meows at you until you come over. Then you will be handsomely rewarded with purrs of contentment. Hazel also loves food and treats. She likes to race to be first and shows the other kitties just how quick she is. Lucky, black and white, is more timid. She has been through a lot so she is still learning to trust humans. She prefers the company of her sister or other kitties, but will allow gentle pets and cheek rubbies. Lucky's smirk belies her personality, but make no mistake - she is smart. She is watchful and vigilant, which comes in handy during play time. Both girls love to play, they're still kittens after all! They love to play chase, throw around fuzzy balls, play with strings, and get their leaps in. They also like to sit just high enough on the stools to tak kitty tails if they walk by. Both girls enjoy the company of other cats, but you often find them walking around together, hip to hip, especially around meal time. Hazel and Lucky will do best in a quieter home without young children as they're afraid of them. They will need a family who has the patience that will allow them to continue coming out of their shell and learning to trust humans again, especially Lucky. We rely solely on fostering, volunteers, donations, and adoption fees. An adoption fee of $350 ($175.00 per cat/kitten) must be paid at the time of adoption by either cash or check. All of our adoptable animals are assessed in foster homes, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed or neutered and tested for FeLV/FIV. Medical records will be released with the adopted pet.
