Over the last eight months, she’s been loved, cared for, and taught what it means to be safe, and she’s made the most of it. Charlene is house trained, crate trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and already knows her basics. She’s smart, affectionate, and has that easy, loving personality that makes her feel like she’s always been part of your home. She’s great with other dogs, friendly with people, and has been around kids. She eats separately from other dogs but otherwise fits in easily and happily. She’s the kind of dog who settles in beside you, follows you from room to room, and just wants to be included in your life. The only reason she’s still looking is because the person who saved her is now facing health issues and no longer has the capacity to keep her and her brother. This was never supposed to be temporary for Charlene, but life had other plans. She’s come so far from where she started. Now she just needs someone to make sure she never has to start over again.
