Meet the magnificent Great Pyrenees Bubba! This gorgeous 4-year-old boy weighs 100 pounds but still needs to gain a little weight to reach his ideal size of around 115 pounds. We pulled Bubba from a shelter where he was nothing but a very good boy. He showed everyone what a friendly and gentle dog he is, got along well with other dogs, and charmed the shelter staff — yet somehow he wasn’t getting any interest, which is hard to understand. Thankfully, we were happy to step in, and Bubba seems pretty happy about it too! Right now Bubba is soaking up lots of TLC and attention at our vet’s office, where he has already built quite the fan club. The doctors and staff all report that he is incredibly sweet and very well behaved. As our volunteers get to know him better, Bubba continues to show us all the classic traits that make the Great Pyrenees breed so special — calm, proud, loyal, intelligent, independent, and absolutely magnificent. Bubba would love a home with a large yard and an adopter who understands and appreciates the Great Pyrenees breed. His future family should be prepared to provide consistent training and regular grooming to keep his beautiful coat looking its best. Most of all, Bubba is hoping for someone who will love him exactly as he is — a gentle giant with a loyal heart and so much love to give.
