About Norm
Norm is a hefty, short-haired, 3-year-old mixed breed with a black coat and white markings. His best Eeyore impression is part of his quiet charm—he’s easygoing, snuggly on his terms, and happy to hang back independently, but he perks up when his favorite toys or a training session are involved. Norm weighs around 70 lbs and has a lot of smarts; he knows several commands and is famously food-motivated, making him easy to train. He’s worked with a trainer, and all of that support carries over for his next adopter. He has no history of biting, but has shown resource-guarding behaviors—lip curls and growls—around food near a toddler, which is why he shouldn’t go to a home with children. He’s done well with dogs, especially those who like to play and roughhouse, after a slow intro. He hasn’t been around cats. He’s not yet house trained. Norm does best with daily routine and predictable adults; his person should have clear boundaries and enjoy working with a bright but sometimes stubborn dog. For anyone looking for a devoted, fun, food-loving companion, Norm is your guy. Fun fact: With a January 1st birthday, Norm falls under the Capricorn sun sign—meaning he brings a loyal, steady presence to the household. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
