Barbara, affectionately known as Barbie, is a quiet and independent girl who came to Whiskers after being abandoned on Third Street in Albany. She’s now safe and beginning her next chapter. Barbara often enjoys lounging on her own, but volunteers have also seen her snuggling with other cats from time to time. Because of this, she may be happy either with a feline companion or as the only cat in the home. Volunteers have spent time getting to know Barbara, and she has recently decided that pets are actually pretty nice. She enjoys gentle attention, but on her own terms, and will politely let you know when she’s had enough. Barbara would do well in a home that appreciates a calm, independent cat who enjoys affection while still liking her own space.
