About Togo! The Kind Of

Hi my name is Togo! I am a 2 year old, 55 lbs Husky. I’m the kind of husky who turns heads at first because of my looks… but wins people over because of how easy it feels to live with me. I’ve mastered the art of being playful without being too active. I love attention, I love being near my people, and I’m always happy to join in on whatever’s happening — whether that’s a walk, playtime with another dog, or relaxing nearby while you go about your day. I live beautifully with other dogs and genuinely enjoy their company. I’m not pushy or dominant, I share toys well, and I’m respectful around food and crates. I’m more of the easygoing “let’s all get along” type than the center-of-attention type. I’m crate trained, house trained, clean in the home, and highly trainable. I’m still polishing up my leash heeling skills, but I already walk nicely on leash and continue improving quickly because I truly enjoy working with people. I’m smart without being stubborn and affectionate without being overwhelming — which feels like a pretty nice combination if you ask me. I also ride great in the car! Before rescue, I lived in an apartment with a female husky, but my owners had to move and could no longer keep us. Through all the changes, I’ve stayed sweet, social, and trusting. I didn’t let life harden me. I think I’d thrive with either someone active who wants a true companion, or in a home with another playful dog and a yard where we can burn some energy together. I don’t need chaos or constant entertainment — just a home where I’m included, loved, and part of the rhythm of daily life. I’m fully crate trained, house trained, vaccinated, and ready for my next chapter. I'm available through the foster-to-adopt program my rescue is a truly believer that the right match is a must! This option gives me and my potential family time to make sure I’m truly the perfect fit before finalizing adoption. Transport is available every other weekend with pickup locations in Connecticut and Vermont.
