In Tennessee, she found herself in a high-kill shelter and on the euthanasia list. But she was rescued in time, and she made the long trip north to NAWS carrying the same quiet hope she still has today: a calm, loving home where she can finally feel safe—and stay safe. Tiana is affectionate on her terms—she wants connection, but she needs it to be gentle and predictable, and she’ll let you know when she’s had enough. New people and new places can feel overwhelming to her at first, so she may hang back and watch, trying to decide if it’s safe to trust. With patience, soft voices, and consistency, she starts to blossom. When she feels secure, her playful side peeks out in sweet, low-key ways. She’ll do best with an experienced, patient adopter and a quieter home where she can settle in at her own pace.
