AvailableAbout Teddy Bear
From his foster mom, Ashley: Teddy Bear is such a sweet, funny boy who has really blossomed since coming inside. He showed up at a community cat colony scared and starving, and at first everyone thought he might just be another feral cat trying to survive outside. But after a few weeks of patience and consistent interaction, it became clear that Teddy Bear was actually a very friendly cat who was just overwhelmed and frightened. Now that he’s safely indoors, he’s fully embracing the good life. His favorite activities include napping, eating, playing with toys, and following his people around for attention. One of my favorite things about Teddy Bear is how vocal he is without really meowing. He’s constantly “murring” and trilling to himself as he wanders around the house, almost like he’s narrating his day. It’s adorable and always makes me smile. Teddy Bear loves being near his people and really enjoys interaction and attention. He warms up fairly quickly and wants to be part of whatever you’re doing. He’s also playful and has discovered just how fun toys can be now that he finally feels safe and comfortable. He previously had surgery to correct entropion, which is why one of his eyes is slightly smaller than the other, but it doesn’t slow him down at all. Teddy Bear has done well with other cats, especially confident cats who won’t be intimidated by his occasionally assertive personality. I think he would do best in a quieter home where he can continue to feel secure and keep building confidence. Because he can get a little overstimulated at times, he would do best in a home without young children. He’s a wonderful cat for someone who enjoys cat personalities and understands that some cats show affection in funny little ways Teddy Bear has come such a long way from the scared cat trying to survive outside, and now he’s ready for a home where he can be loved, spoiled, and continue enjoying indoor life. Born 2/26/2022 At Meowtown, we don’t have a traditional, physical shelter - all of our cats live in loving foster homes. That means they are already used to real home life, and we truly know their personalities, habits, and what makes them special. They are safe, socialized, and ready to be part of a family. They’re not waiting to become housecats… they already are. They just need a house.
