About Toby
Toby is a 3-year-old, medium-sized pit bull terrier mix with a short, fawn coat. He was picked up as a stray in Charlotte and has spent months in limbo, shuttled between foster and now at risk of landing in a shelter through no fault of his own. Despite his rough start and a lot of bouncing around, Toby hasn’t let his good nature waver. He’s friendly and sweet with people, and absolutely loves cats—he’d do great in a home with feline companions. With dogs, he needs a slow, patient introduction; after a proper sniff, he settles in and gets along, but he’s not a fit for the chaos of a dog park. Toby loves to play ball, joins in eagerly for walks, enjoys riding in the car, and is happiest when cuddling up for attention. He’s housebroken, crate trained, and knows his basic commands. Leave him home alone, and you won’t find chewed shoes or a wrecked sofa—he has zero separation anxiety. If you want a playful, affectionate dog who can go from fetch to snuggles, Toby might be the only one you need to meet. Born May 4th, Toby is a Taurus, which fits his loyal and steady personality.
