Vegas (AKA Charlie) is a stunning German Shepherd who came to the shelter with his brother, Reggie (A1136137). It’s impossible not to fall for this sweet, gentle boy—he’s calm, patient, and carries himself with a quiet, steady confidence. Personality & Temperament: Vegas is very people-oriented and loves staying close to his person. He hasn’t barked in his foster environment and remains relaxed even around busy roads, loud music, and crowds. He enjoys looking out the window, entertains himself well, and has a naturally gentle demeanor. Leash Walking & Energy: He starts his walks with a little excitement—some zig-zagging and light pulling—but settles quickly with gentle correction. Once he finds his rhythm, he walks beautifully at your side. After a good walk, he’s content to lie down and relax. Around Other Dogs: On walks, Vegas sometimes shows interest in meeting other dogs and other times simply keeps moving. He has shown no signs of aggression—no growling or reactivity—just calm curiosity. In the Home: Vegas appears to be house-trained and has been quiet and relaxed during the day, even when asked to respect boundaries in the home. At night, he may whine a bit if separated, but he’s likely to settle well if allowed to sleep in the same room as his person. Training: He’s not particularly treat-motivated, but he’s smart and already beginning to learn “sit.” With consistency, he’ll continue to pick things up quickly.
